Curious details

In the precincts of the centre, there are many historic places such as:

  • the brick mansion from the 19th century (its wooden part is from the 18th century),
  • the historic park where there are 21 veteran trees.

The history of the herd dates back to 1915, when the Austrian authorities gathered around 170 stallions from the dissolved herds in Kolomyia and Olchowice in the military barracks in Piotrków Trybunalski. In 1918, the herd became administrated by the Polish Military Council, which passed it to the State Stud Farms Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and State Property. In 1926, the herd was consecrated to “the glory of the stud and the Republic of Poland.” The inscription on the commemorative plate can be read in the stable 1.
