Piast Castle in Racibórz - Station 05 – The gallery
Description
In the next few halls are temporary and permanent exhibitions. Often are presented the work of local artists, from Racibórz or surrounding areas, and post-competition works. (photo 10.05.001). The great attraction are the models of vessels from different periods (photo10.05.002). Minutely made models show their equipment in every detail. Very interesting is also a wardrobe with German inscriptions offered by one of the donors (photo 10.05.003). Most of the rooms of the Prince’s House are equipped with ornate chandeliers (photo 10.05.004), designed to evoke the atmosphere of the once opulent interiors of the castle. Larger works in this area are still at the stage of planning, but there is a chance for a few rooms to regain their former splendour, devoured by fires and post-war devastation.
You are welcome to the next room, where are collected memorabilia from Racibórz.
